Dear Santa Projects

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

This class was an absolute hit!  If you want to have your stampin’ ladies go crazy over a class, here it is!  Included in the class are:
-  Dear Santa clear stamp set
-  Acrylic “B” Block
-  12×12 Scrapbook page
-  8 1/2″x11″ card
-  Stocking note pad

The class takes a while to make all three projects, but well worth the effort!  Here are some hints, tips and suggestions for when you demonstrate this class:
I undercharged for the class, so please look at the cost of your expenses before finalizing a cost.  2 Crop-a-diles are suggested for quicker use on all the projects, or at least 2 small hole punches for the buttons.  The buckles are the most difficult part of the project, so either pre-cut the buckles or completely make the buckles yourself.

The directions to make this project are listed below, all Word documents.  Please feel free to use them, but all I ask in return is for you to give me credit.  Only Stampin’ Up! products were used.  Isn’t it wonderful how versatile their products are?  Love Stampin’ Up!  Thank you for your visiting my site!
UPDATES to directions have been made into pdf format.

Cute Snowman Christmas

Cute Snowman Christmas

Snow much fun making this Cute Snowman Christmas card!  Do you see the snowman is white and not blue?  I didn’t use any layers on him or mask the image, I bleached him!  Get your Aqua Painters, fill with fresh bleach.  First stamp the snowman with StazOn black ink, then punch out the image with your 1 3/8″ circle punch.  Carefully color in the snowman and snow with your Aqua Painter filled with bleach.  You might want to try this a few times before you can stay within the lines.

Cute Snowman Christmas with 3 colorsA special note about the cardstock you use.  I tried using Bashful Blue with the bleach, but the snowman stayed blue.  Then I used Baja Breeze with the bleach and it turned out perfect!  I also tried the Bashful Blue marker on Whisper White, but I didn’t like it as much.  So here is the picture to show you the difference.

All Products used are Stampin’ Up!, unless otherwise noted:
Baja Breeze Cardstock
Blushing Bride Cardstock
Candy Cane Christmas DSP
Blushing Bride Marker
Basic Black Marker
Aqua Painter
Bleach(non-SU)
Eyelet Scallop Punch
Perfect Polka Dots EF
Big Shot
Chunky Clear Glitter
Tombow Mono-Adhesive

Baltimore Serene Snowflakes and Pens Swaps

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

The excitement of going to the Stampin’ Up! Balitmore Regional convention is so exciting!  I had to make something different, so I used acetate with StazOn White ink to make these cards.  The inside words are from the SU! Sizzlits Decorative Strip, Join In The Cheer.  Stamp set is Serene Snowflakes.

Isn’t nice to get something nice that you can really use?  How about a pen?  The pens are a simple pen that you can take the ends off and easily put back on.  Here’s a little hint: Before inserting paper inside pen, role the paper around a pencil to give it some curl.  This will help the paper slide in easier and prevent bending the paper.

Products used:
2 1/4″x7/8″ White or Very Vanilla Cardstock
Circle Circus and Hello Again stamp sets
Tag punches, large and small
5 petal punch
Inks- Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Basic Black

Vote for your favorite Jar!

Sunday, September 19th, 2010

Take a look at the beautiful jars that were created by the talented O’Wheely Club Ladies!  The rules were to find a glass jar and decorate it any way they wanted.  They did not have to use just Stampin’ Up! materials, they could use anything.  Each picture has a capital letter on it and all you have to do is write a comment saying “I vote for the E jar.”  Or something similar, but you have to mention the name of the letter on the picture.  The person with the most votes wins  a FREE $14.95 Stampin’ Up! stamp set from me.  WooHoo!  FREE is good!  Tell everyone to come back here and vote for their favorite.  Voting ends October 15th, 2009.

Oh Joy, For A Holly Jolly Christmas!

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

Are you getting ready for Christmas?  I know it’s a few months away, but I’m getting excited about making my Christmas cards this year.  Last year I made some Christmas cards for my friend Dana.  She saw the card in the Stampin’ Up!® 2009-10 catalog on page 31 and she knew this was the card for her.  I didn’t have the Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies, so I used the Sizzix dies that I already had.  She was very pleased with the results and so were her friends and family who received them.  Now go take a look in your Stampin’ Up! catalogs and find your inspiration.  What card are you going to create?  Leave me a comment and a link to your website so we can see your creation!
