Owl, where’s my basket?

Friday, March 25th, 2011

How is the bunny going to get his basket?  I had to make another winking owl for an Easter card and I’m happy with how it turned out.  The clouds and basket are from the build a cupcake punch.  The ‘eggs’ are circles from the little punch pack that coordinates with the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set.

“Leather” Wallets

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Would you like to have a “leather” wallet to match all your outfits?  Well, you can make your own using cardstock!  Yes, you heard it right, cardstock.  General directions are, emboss Soft Suede cardstock with an embossing folder on your Big Shot, then Versamark your whole image, sprinkle clear embossing powder ALL over your cardstock(on one side) and then you have your faux leather.  Sounds easy, right?  It is!  Try it!  Then link to me with your own pictures.  Have fun!

Two Birds, Two Cute!

Saturday, February 26th, 2011

Is this “two” cute?  Yes I know the proper wording is “t00″, but the two birds are so cute!  This was a class that I offered at St. Luke’s Charity Crop earlier in February.  I wanted to show how you can take a card layout and use that same element on your scrapbook page.  The element we used twice was the the two birds in the middle.  Did  you see the red glitter paper?  Ooh, I love this new glitter paper from Stampin’ Up!®.  The basic layout is 3×3″ squares on a 12×12 page.  Using the Sale-A-Bration set, Bliss, I stamped behind the squares to give it and elegant feel.  I love making my own backgrounds and that’s why stamp sets are such a wonderful option, actually a necessity for me.

Simply Said, Lattice Valentine Page

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

Red, white and black are staple colors for Valentine’s day, don’t you agree?  So is making a scrapbook page for the one(s) you love.  This layout was made with the Big Shot Lattice die-cut to really set off the page.  Do you see the Whisper White lattice in the middle of the page?  You can add this simple and elegant die-cut to your cards and pages to add more dimension.  The lattice die-cut was also used on both corners of the page(one lattice cut in half).  Of course I had to stamp on my page with the Simply Said stamp set and colored the flowers with Real Red.
