Virginia Beach Convention

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

What a fantastic trip to the Stampin’ Up! Virginia Beach Regional Seminar!  Next year, you all have to be demonstrators and join in the fun!  Why?
1.  A NEW stamp set from the 2008-09 CATALOG!!!!
2.  Tons of ideas on display and demonstrated to us.  Here’s one example of a WOW project:
3.   Meet other great stampers.
4.  Swap your cards for great examples in your collection.
5.  Stamp projects created by Stampin’ Up! for you at the convention.
6.  The only other distraction while you’re stamping, is another item to stamp!
7.  Business tools and ideas presented by Stampin’ Up!
8.  Abundance of stampin’ energy to keep you motivated.
9.  Laugh and have fun all day long.
10.  Be with your favorite Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, ME!  Just look at how much fun Lisa Burgess and I were having together!

I hear what you’re saying right now, ‘those ladies are beautiful!’  Thank you for the complements.  Or was that, I want to see the new stamp set.
Contact me to set up a date to host your own Stampin’ Up! party or attend a class at my home.  I’ll be happy to show you all the samples from convention and bring the new stamp set for you to use!  Both huge incentives for contacting me today.

Punch the Fish!

Punch the Fish!

Punch the Fish!  How?  Using the round tab punch on page 17 of the Spring Mini Catalog!  Now, you really don’t ‘punch’ the fish, you ‘punch out’ the fish!  Hmmm, both ways sound vicious, but no harm is done to any living fish during the making of these fish.  Want details on how to punch out this cute little fish?  Great!  NOW you can download the directions that I made for you to use.    You’ll have fun making this fish!  Send me pictures of your creations using your round tab punch and I’ll post them on the website.  Happy fishing!

Blender Pens and Pastels

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Take care of your Pastels when you use your blender pens.  Only wipe the edges of your pastel color blocks with the blender pens.  After time a semi-hard surface will cover your pastels and you won’t be able to get any color on your sponges or daubers.  If you do get this coating on your pastels, wipe it off softly with your finger nail or a nail file.  Be gentle so you don’t break your pastels or take away too much color.  Did you also know that you can order a ‘family’ of pastels?  If you use up all of your Earth Elements pastels,  go to page 200 in your Idea Book & Catalog to see the pastels and then call me with your order.  Now get those pastels out and have fun blending and stamping!

April Challenge

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

You have been waiting for the announcement of the April Challenge and the bunny brought it to me today in his basket.  Yes, that is the theme!  Put something in a basket or pocket.  Using all Stampin’ Up! products, at least 2 layers, make a card or scrapbook page using a basket(ie: level 3 hostess set Basket Full of Fun stamp set) or a pocket(ie: pockets & pieces) and have something filling the basket or pocket.  Imagine the possibilities of what you are going to create!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE APRIL CHALLENGER!
How?  Enter a comment at the bottom of this message, where it says “comment.”  Please enter your email so I know who left the message.  These ladies did a GREAT job on their cards and would like you to recognize their efforts with a vote.  Now place your vote and then tell everyone about the contest, so they can place their votes too!

CONGRATULATIONS LEANE!!!!!!!
THE WINNER IS ENTRY #1
By Leane Martin
April Entry 1

Entry #2 by Jennifer Fossen

Both entries are beautiful and I GREATLY appreciate Leane Martin and Jennifer Fossen for participating in the challenge!  Leane won the contest and she has won the Five-in-One Card Cover template on page 205 of the Stampin’ Up! Idea book and catalog!  Congratulations Leane!
So now that you’re all so happy for Leane, you would like to know who’s name was drawn as the winner for voting?  To make it fair, I added Jennifer’s name to the list also, since she participated in the contest and I had my ‘assistant’ Sydney Friederichs to help draw the name.
Sydney Friederichs“The winner is Michelle Gibbons!  Congratulations Michelle!”  Michelle will receive the Silver brads on page 231 of the Stampin’ Up! Idea book and catalog.  Leane used the silver brads on her winning design also.  Thank you to Beverly, Cherie, Crystal, Jan, Joyce, Lisa, Karen, Kathy, Kristen, Margie, Mary and Michelle F. for participating in the voting!
